An FO and a semi-FO

Since this is supposed to be my knitting/craft blog, I guess I better post something that relates huh. I have actually been quite productive and have finished a few things, and still have one in progress that is going slowly. Can't post these yet though, as they'll be a give-away ;)

But I have finished this....

this....

and these....

The top two go together and are the Bilby Baby Jacket and Hat, from the pattern I received in my RAOK swap from Woolaholics. Very cute both of them and easy and quick to knit up. I knit the hat in the round, although that pattern is written for flat. Pointless seaming doesn't appeal to me ;p Speaking of seaming, the jacket isn't technically "finished". I still have to seam one side. Will try and get that done before the baby arrives LOL The Pear Tree merino was so lovely to knit with. I want more, but can't seem to find anyone with any in stock!! I've got quite a bit left too, so I'll knit up some baby socks to match also when I can.

The bottom photo is my RAOK swap items. I'm pretty sure my swapee doesn't read my blog so I think I'm safe to post them (even though I haven't sent them yet... oops, my bad). They are going in the mail tonight. I've included something else with it also. The items are Fetching and Flourish. I'll come back later and update with some links. I got them from Ravelry anyway. I love the fetching... well, not this pair (not that I don't like them) but the colour isn't really me, but it is my swapee's colour. I'm making myself a pair in a colour I like, as well as a pair for my mum for her birthday.

So I have been plugging away at some things. Just feeling quite tired and having some problems with my hands atm :( I actually think my knitting days might be numbered for the moment. At least until the baby arrives, and after that who knows when I'll have the energy to do anything except feed and care for a new baby and two EXTREMELY energetic boys?! I'm figuring by 3 months I might be able to get some spare time in for stuff like that LOL I'm going to try and keep going with the knitting though, but it's really slowed down with the carpal tunnel :( so I'll do what I can, but don't expect too many more FO's from me in the coming weeks unfortunately.

Has anyone seen my brain?

I seem to have misplaced it. Recent examples of my brainless-ness include....

Brainless Incident One
While purchasing fuel I also grabbed a bottle of water and placed it on the counter. Paid for my fuel, packed my card away and promptly left the service station. A short while later, some minutes down the road in morning traffic, I realised that I did not have my bottle of water. Doh. Fortunately I frequent this service station so they *know* me, and how could a pregnant woman who doesn't know how to pump LPG be forgettable anyway? So approximately 3 hours later on my return home I popped in to get my bottle of water, which they had kindly popped back into the fridge for me.

Brainless Incident Two
The very next day, I delivered an order to a customer (who lives approx 45 minutes from me by car). I had to give her $3.50 change. She put her payment on the edge of the table, I gave her $4, she gave me $0.50 cents back. I said my goodbyes, got in the car and took off. Fortunately about 2 minutes later I thought to myself "Did I pick that money up off the table?" For the life of me I couldn't remember, so I had to turn around and go back. Nope. Had left it sitting there on the table. So I essentially paid my customer $3.50 to take some nappies from me. Double Doh.

If anyone sees my brain, please tell it to come home. I need it back. Preferrably before I leave a child somewhere.

Tag... you're it

OMG, I've been tagged! LOL Thanks Tikki... I think! I might struggle with this, but we'll see how it goes....

Firstly, here are the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog
2. Share seven facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird
3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

1. I met my husband over the internet. When I meet people and they find out he is not Australian, they of course ask where we met. Generally I tell them that we *met* in San Francisco airport. This is technically true, since it's where we first met each other in person, but we had been corresponding by email and talking on the phone for close on a year before the first meeting. I feel a bit weird about the truth, because people think the wrong thing about how we found each other, and I often don't feel like explaining myself to people LOL We've been married for 9 years this October.

2. I don't like swimming in the ocean. I really don't like not being able to *see* the bottom, or know what I'm stepping on. I'm not a big swimmer anyway, although I did used to swim for exercise (in a pool), but I really feel very nervous about the ocean. Even just being in up to my knees is bad. Once I was swimming in the ocean in Hawaii (don't ask me why I was doing this, I really don't know. holiday fever probably) and they have these massive waves that literally come over the top of you and turn you upside down (they even have signs warning you that this is likely to happen!) and I got belted by two in quick succession. I lost my sunglasses (again, don't ask me why I was wearing my sunglasses while swimming in the ocean, just know it's not a smart thing to do, esp in Hawaii!) and got turned all around. I thought I was going to drown. The upside is that my FIL managed to find my sunglasses on the ocean floor. It was a miracle.

3. I don't really enjoy pregnancy. I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant with #3. Go figure LOL

4. I once saw a man pee out his pants leg outside Victoria Station in London.

5. I played the flute in the high school concert band. I chose music because the alternatives were agriculture or French. Neither of those appealed to me LOL And then I chose the concert band because the other music alternative was the recorder group. Even more daggy, at least when I was 14 it was (no offense to any recorder players that might be reading this!). I was not a terribly good music student.

6. I've been to Paris and didn't go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Not my fault though, it was NYE, the middle of winter and it was so foggy at the time that we came out of the metro station which is RIGHT NEXT to the tower, and we couldn't see it at all. Had to ask directions, which got us extremely strange looks to say the least LOL

7. I've eaten an Almond Magnum every night this week. I am about to eat another one tonight.

Ok, now to come up with seven people to tag!

I'll try Peta, Lis, hmmmmm.... might have to come back to this. Most of the blogs I read have already been tagged with this one!
